Outdoor Fall Dining

Outdoor Fall Dining

There is nothing like the crackle of dried leaves underfoot and the warmth of a toasty fire – the fall weather is beautiful and there’s a crispness in the air. There are also fewer bugs, which makes being outside even nicer…so fall is a great time for outdoor entertaining!

Autumn has an unmistakable colour palette – the rich reds, deep oranges, vivid coppers and ground browns. To add an extra touch of autumn to your outdoor dining experience, add locally collected foliage to the table. Keep the setting natural and simple.

If you choose to bring vases to hold your fall flowers, metal accents, old style candles, fall-themed linens, gold accents or cutlery, be careful to only bring what isn’t easily breakable – or protect it well.

Don your boots and warm pullovers – this will be chilly! Extra neck scarves and rugs for guests are always welcome.

Make a simple table by using two folding trestle stands and a large piece of engineered wood, covered with a tablecloth. You can collect chairs from local thrift or second-hand stores, sometimes for only a few dollars each, this adds to the rustic fall vibe!
