Nothing says summer like Santorini.
But since Greece is (depending on where you are in the globe) likely a long, long way from home, we can recreate a little slice of Santorini in our own backyard.
The Santorini style is simple, and, by layering different textures and patterns can easily and simply be achieved – more likely than not with what you have right on hand.
Here’s how:
To start, white.
A little bit like the sun-drenched villas of Santorini, the table setting starts on a base of white. Texture is great here – think linens or muslin, to give a starch freshness to the look.
And then? Just add layers. Everything Mediterranean is bright blues, patterns and citrus hued – the more, the better!
Flowers like we’ve done here are a great way to add a big pop of colour, as is branches or leaves of any citrus fruit you might have on hand. A table setting like this doesn’t have to be expensive – by mixing and matching eclectic, coloured vases, crockery and dinnerware, you can easily achieve the look.
Now, just add Aperol!
